Way 1 · Five typical tasks

Recognise your problem? There is a package for it.

Every package starts with a situation from everyday LeanIX work. It ends with a result your team can carry forward on its own.

01

Management dashboard

“Our CIO asks where we stand – and every time we build slides.”

The data is in LeanIX. But no view answers leadership's question at a glance.

You get

  • a dashboard for one concrete leadership question, with a few reliable KPIs
  • the trend of key figures over time, not just today's snapshot
  • a data rule behind every KPI, so the number still holds next month
  • built in LeanIX – for Power BI, we deliver the data basis

Deliberate boundary

One leadership question, one dashboard. Missing data is made visible, not collected.

02

Reports

“The question is clear – but no standard view answers it.”

The architecture board, the budget round or a replacement decision needs a view that LeanIX does not offer yet.

You get

  • an application landscape or interface overview, configured for the question
  • a capability heatmap based on your existing capability structure
  • purpose-built reports, such as a portfolio radar or a TIME decision map

Deliberate boundary

The report shows what is in LeanIX. Assessing the entire portfolio is a separate topic – that is what Application Rationalization is for.

03

Surveys

“We need new information from every application owner – and never get it all back.”

A new requirement calls for information only the owners know. By email and Excel, the overview gets lost.

You get

  • a survey in LeanIX whose answers flow straight into the fact sheets
  • recipient logic that reaches the right people, even after an owner change
  • a response overview and automatic reminders

Deliberate boundary

We build and launch the survey. Personally following up with individual owners stays with you.

04

Meta model

“A new requirement has to go into the model – but nobody knows what the change will break.”

New fields, a new fact sheet type, architecture decisions or regulatory information: every change affects reports, permissions and integrations.

You get

  • new fields or fact sheet types, with the impact checked before implementation
  • Architecture Decisions set up in LeanIX: templates, IDs and links to fact sheets
  • regulatory and AI information modelled, for example for NIS2 or AI governance

Deliberate boundary

Implementation follows your approval, with a test run and a documented rollback. The meta model as a whole is not redesigned.

05

Data flows & automation

“Data moves by hand between LeanIX and other systems – via export, copy-paste and email.”

Power BI needs the portfolio data, the CMDB needs the owners, and owner changes are reported by email. Every manual step is a source of errors.

You get

  • LeanIX data for Power BI, via OData feed with suitable views
  • data delivered via API to a target system, such as a CMDB or controlling
  • a repeatable import from Excel or CSV
  • no-code automations in LeanIX, for example for owner changes or lifecycle deadlines

Deliberate boundary

One connection, one direction. It runs in your environment and you operate it. We build, test, document and hand over. With Power BI, our part ends at the data feed; your BI team builds the reports.

Unclear?

Not sure where the problem is?

Sometimes the only thing that is clear is that LeanIX does not answer a question. Whether the cause is the model, the data or the report is still open. In that case, the work starts with a short diagnosis. It ends with a finding and the right package.

Request a short diagnosis

How a package works

From the problem to a handed-over result – in four steps.

01

Describe the task

In a 30-minute call we clarify goal, result, access and boundaries.

02

Fixed price before start

You receive a short offer with the result, your contributions, time window and fixed price. Only then does the work begin.

03

Delivery

We work in an agreed time window in your workspace, in a sandbox first where possible. You approve larger changes.

04

Handover

You get the result, short documentation and a handover to your team. Anything beyond that we offer separately.

Most packages range from a few hours to a few working days.

Way 2 · Expert slot

A dedicated LeanIX expert – at a fixed appointment.

Not every question is a project. With the expert slot you get fixed time with us every month: for questions, small tasks and reviews around your workspace. You collect topics as they come up, we work through them in the slot.

How a slot works

  1. 01

    Collect topics

You add questions and tasks to a shared list and set the order.

  2. 02

    Work in the slot

At the fixed appointment we work through the list – directly in your workspace or together on a call.

  3. 03

    Record the result

After every slot you receive a short note: what is done, what is still open, what comes next.

Ground rules

  • Requests between two slots go on the list and are handled in the next slot.
  • Larger initiatives are spread over several slots or offered as a package.
  • The slot is for expert work – not for data maintenance or chasing owners.

Deliberate boundaries

Clearly scoped – so the result stays predictable.

A good fit

  • concrete tasks or ongoing questions in an existing LeanIX workspace
  • a contact person who can make or obtain decisions
  • access and documents available before the start
  • a result your team carries forward on its own

Not a fit

  • implementing SAP LeanIX or programme management
  • operating interfaces, support SLA or on-call duty
  • a replacement for SAP product support
  • company-wide data collection or chasing individual owners

Who does the work

Senior practice from running LeanIX.

Behind the Expert Services is an enterprise architect who knows SAP LeanIX from daily operations – from the perspective of the team that uses and develops the platform.

5+

years of practice in enterprise architecture management & SAP LeanIX

  • Built and developed an SAP LeanIX workspace – from the meta model to the rollout across business units
  • Connections between LeanIX and HR, GRC and BI systems, partly via SAP middleware
  • Meta model extensions for regulatory requirements such as NIS2
  • Imports from CMDB, service management, SAP and Excel
  • Developed the LeanIX connection of the Arqlee platform (GraphQL, OAuth2)

You receive the profile and project examples in the first conversation.

Next step

Which LeanIX task is on your desk right now?

Describe it in a few sentences. In the conversation we clarify whether a package or the expert slot fits better. If neither fits, we will say so openly.

Discuss a LeanIX task

Not about a single task, but about the entire portfolio?

With Application Rationalization, Arqlee assesses your application portfolio and delivers prioritised decisions. You can book the Expert Services independently of it.
